What An "Eggs-Ellent Easter!"

The church was filled on March 22 with 42 children, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles and helpers as we enjoyed many activities and the egg hunt with our children. The cold and nasty weather did not dampen the spirit of the day, as we still hunted Easter eggs inside. Thanks to everyone who helped: Shawn Back, Tim Bentz, Lexi Daniels, Pam Ellenberg, Ernie Fisher, Judy Fisher, Levi Fisher, Sherry Gehris, Emily Johnson, Gwen Kuster, Ashley McAfee, Jeff McAfee, Karen McAfee, Kasey Opel and all of the family members who pitched in to help. It was great to see so many visitors and the smiles on so many faces!

Aluminum Cans For Habitat For Humanity

Don't forget to bring your aluminum beverage cans and pie tins with you and deposit in the "Cans for Habitat" receptacle in the vestibule. At the current price of .55-.60/pound, those cans will add up to raise funds to build a Habitat for Humanity house in the Emmitsburg area next summer. So save yourself a trip to the recycling center or trip to the curb, and bring your cans to Graceham. We can!!

All Mission Trip participants should report to the Fellowship Hall at 9 A.M. on Saturday, April 26 for an information session concerning the upcoming Mission Trip to Youngstown, Ohio. It is very important that all youth involved attend. We will be handing out the forms that need to be completed and mailed to Group Workcamps. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend. This will allow you to have any questions you may have answered. After the 1 hour information session, our youth will be involved in mini-mission training.

Mini-Mission Day In April

Our youth groups continue with their willingness to serve our church family and community. We will be available on Saturday, April 26 to help with whatever job you may need to get done. In the past, we have helped with yard work, landscaping, painting and cleaning. Please contact Joanne Fuss as soon as possible, if you have a job that you may need help with, inside or out. Mini-Mission projects will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Jobs that can not be completed on April 26 will be scheduled in May and June.

Big Sweep

The JC Crusaders will be participating in the BIG Sweep on Sunday, April 27. The BIG Sweep is a fundraiser/service project for local nonprofits sponsored by Volunteer Frederick. We collect donations and in return agree to clean up litter from county roadsides. Our designated road to "sweep" is Mumma Ford Rd.

The donations we receive will go towards the JC Crusader's "Hope Fund" to send our 5th-8th graders to Camp Hope. There will be a pledge sheet in the pews and on the bulletin board in the vestibule, if you would like to make a donation for the BIG Sweep. All checks should be made payable to "The Big Sweep."

Participating JC Crusaders don't forget to turn in your registration form to Ms. Joanne NOW - it was due on March 30!!! We will leave church at 12 noon to have lunch, and begin the "Big Sweep."
